And that was a high level, much researched and deliberated decision by top aides because it had to be a ‘safe’ choice with 0’s background and history .. had to ‘look’ good and pass their muster criteria, whatever that was.
They also researched the background of the pastor, who they knew would also be scrutinized and feverishly researched by the press.
So, this was the safe choice .. typically where the Bushes attended. Duh.
But it was all cloaked in such over the top secrecy .. ludicrously so, stupidly so, until today.
Just your average reverent American Christian family, choosing and going to worship God at church for the FIRST time, since moving into 1600 Penn, for Easter services ............../sarc
When your past is this dark and suspect and you’re suspicious and generally hostile to traditional values, and hyper aware of your critics, every single trivial and seemingly innocent decision is overly scrutinized, calculated and staged for press value and polls.
These people are truly twisted.

Last time I was in DC I attended St. Johns(of course have a TON of pix). Rev. Luis is a really good pulpit man.. numerous, accurate Scripture, articulate, relates sermon to everyday life. The people were very nice & gracious, the choir /accoustics wonderful. This is not my church background but did want to go &see where 43 worshiped most of time when in DC & I can see why he liked it.
