Absolutely that's the danger you run when listing only a few of the heavy hitters in conservative circles.

I just can't stand to see millhouse taking credit already as if it were his master plan, what BS!!

Julie B. said before that controversy arose because the WH was so silent but we are now learning that it's because Barry was quietly working with the military. Rrrrrrrright...I thought the O’s were out on the town last night.

That's what they just said. He had to have ordered it after he must have known the Captain was going to make another escape attempt. Obama must not have been ready on the first escape attempt.

It is perfectly obvious that this was planned by the Bush military. It is also perfectly obvious that no action was taken without the approval of the Obama administration. If this isn't true then the Navy types involved will be forced out of the service.

IT will be interesting to see what insiders in the Navy have to say.

"The navy succeeded DESPITE obama because the captain gave them an opening to get clear..."

Exactly right. Zero will prove this by not following through with what MUST come next, which is the total destruction of all pirate ports, motherships and headquarters. And you know he wont do that. If he does, then good on him but I will bet money on inaction.

His first incination was to return to pre-911 law enforcement. Sending an FBI negotiator was a cowardly and reprehensible act.

What is next? The reinstitution of Jamie Gorelicks Wall of Separation?

...we should not act like petty and petulant DUmmies

I'm glad you included the "we" at the beginning there.

One of the DU tactics is to attack other posters they do not agree with by calling them Freekers.

You constant calling intelligent posters DUummies is a DU tactic.

Posting without dissing posters that are all on the same side makes for a much better discussion.

People here will expose Obama for his inability to lead intelligently.

If you are an Obama supporter, fine but stop acting like one here with the childish DUmmmie accusations.

The admin looked at the polls and approval was shoved down its throat.

Either that, or someone exceeded his orders...

In which case, the admin will have his guts for garters. If so, God help him and God bless!

But you would not have SEALs based on foreign territory, and there are no Navy bases close-by that I know of.

We have SEAL teams based overseas. I am sure that there are teams in Iraq and Afghanistan. We have a naval base in Bahrain. I seriously dobut that we flew a SEAL team in from the US. The USS Boxer probably has a SEAL team on it.

You just don't have SEALs on every ship in the Navy. The nearest ones would have been in Iraq, and they could have done a practice drill or two before leaving.

As I mentioned, I served 8 years as a naval officer. I am familiar with the SEALS and know a few of them. You have very few SEAL teams located on ships and those there are for a specfic purpose or mission. They are ready to go on a moment's notice.

Which "values" did they fail to adhere to? Going after Islamofascism with a vengeance?

No, spending like drunk sailors and engaging in petty corruption.

All your statements about Gitmo and waterboarding are irrelevant here, because I supported such, and you are quite frankly being insulting with your patronizing approach without having any understanding of my long posting history. If you are going to accuse a Freeper of something, you'd better have your own facts about them straight, lest you look like a blowhard.

Whichever side is the most successful in demonizing the other side - wins.

Reagan. 1980. Won by providing a better vision for this country. GOP. 1994. Contract with America. The GOP won by standing for something - core conservative values. We then lost because the pubbies largely became intoxicated with their own power. We can't out-Democrat the Democrats. People don't trust the GOP to act responsibly, and for good reason. We have to restore that.

Well if the Seals had managed to hang a mike on the boat, Philips could have tapped something out in code, saying he had wriggled out of his ropes and was ready to jump again. But how would Philips know that the boat was being listened to and the pirates not know?
