Well, today's events just show that the SEALS have probably had a plan in place for some tiome and were waiting for the go ahead from above...my guess is that the tone of the negotiations and the refusal by the pirates and their representatives made it clear that the go ahead was necessary.

My guess is also that I would not be surprised to find that yesterdays manuever by the small craft from the Bainbridge was repeated to fix the attention of the pirates when the SEALS were in position to act.

And this job is not done. Now we must:

1. Have the US Navy announce (no, not the State Dept or prez) this activity will no longer be tolerated.

2. Sink everything they put to sea which has no hostages aboard.

3. Capture as many as possible, waterboard them for info on the leadership and their assets.

4. Launch targeted strikes against pirate leadership.

5. Target one of their ports...seal it off with Airborne assault units...and send in sufficient firepower to destroy everything and everyone there. Rescue what hostages we can, of course. But, those captured ships must go back to sea.
