Nurtured from an early age by her activist parents, 19-year-old Emily Silverstein was acutely aware of the troubles of the world and worked to find solutions to issues such as homelessness and women's rights. A sophomore honors student at Gettysburg College in Pennsylvania, she was poised to take the world by storm, her family said.
But on Thursday morning, Silverstein was found dead in an off-campus apartment. She had been strangled and stabbed to death, allegedly by a former boyfriend, authorities said. ...
From her upbringing, Silverstein was destined to become an activist, Kelly said. Her relatives were anti-war protesters and anti-imperialists, she said. And she was raised in a community specifically chosen by her parents for its activist reputation.
Next week, she would have be one of dozens of students who planned to sleep in tents to draw attention to the plight of the homeless, her aunt said.
Silverstein, an anthropology major at Gettysburg, was a member of Students for a Democratic Society and lived in Peace House, whose main mission is to bring awareness to world peace issues, Kelly said. Co-president of Peace House, Silverstein also worked with Amnesty International and Free the Children.
She studied Arabic in college and planned to study in Morocco in the fall to improve her foreign language skills.

So what about her politics. This was a 19 y.o. girl. “Some one who is not a liberal at twenty has no heart. Someone who is not conservative at forty has no brain.”

These people are so incredibly arrogant and self serving. American churches have been working tirelessly for decades feeding and housing the poor, and these nitwits think sleeping in a tent is a virtuous act because they are drawing attention to something everyone is fully aware of, and often doing something about.

Everything about this report says she was raised to be an activist - that's how her politics come into the discussion.
My favorite quote had to do with her death "spoiling it for the rest of us..." or words to that effect:

Obviously, it is sad to have this young life end that way. The article says she was into “women’s rights”. Her boyfriend killed her, allegedly. Speaking as a woman, I think she may have served herself (a woman) well by using her right to defend herself and shot that sonofabitch with a firearm center mass until he quit complaining. Oh, in her liberal world it is wrong to have a gun and actually be able to defend yourself as a woman. As a liberal she would just “fight for women’s rights” whatever that means. At the same time, you can bet your bottom dollar she was all for killing not yet born children. This poor girl was another misguided liberal. It would have been nice if she could have lived long enough to possibly get a clue and look beyond her communist upbringing. She was indoctrinated, poor thing. I am not being sarastic by the way. It is a shame she died so young.
In any case, Pakistan has tens, if not hundreds of thousands of fully qualified Arabic Language specialists who would be more than willing to work as anyone's body servant if they needed an Arabic translator.
It's one of the ways to get out of what has turned out to be one of the world's poorest countries.
I presume this Silverstein gal had no intention of being a servant for anyone less than a Congresscritter.

The story says the happy couple broke up a week ago yet she was at the boyfriend’s place at the time of death. Wonder if it was a Fatal Attraction sort of situation.
She really pissed her ex off rather badly though, wouldnt you say? Im sure theres two sides to the story, although killing is never justified, even if the person is not homeless or deprived or some sort of minority.

You need psychological help. A 19 year old girl was murdered by her boyfriend, and you’re contemplating dancing in the streets? Who cares what her politics were, what the hell is wrong with you?
