"We are not a nation of Christians"

I really didn't want to nor think it fair to trust innuendo and hearsay as to the fact of whether or not Obama is a Christian. But now I have my answer..... coming from the one's very own mouth. He said "WE" meaning he and all the others he lumps in with himself. This is his picture of America based on his and his friend's positions, that they are NOT Christians.

Why then should he look any further for a DC church? Not only is he NOT a Christian..... but he is hypocritical as well! And all those DC churches that are ready to make him a member should he grace their halls with his presence, well, I have a bit of doubt as to their Christianity as well.

Exactly.

We have a National Cathedral and I think there is a church inside every Sunday.

Any Church would consider it an honor to have the President of the United States in attendance.

The President would also be honored to attend and pray with fellow Christians.

On this most important Holiday and Celebration of the Resurrection, you would think there would have been announcement indicating where Obama would celebrate Jesus Christ's Resurrection.

The message of God's gift of Salvation would be implicit. All Obama would have to is waive a bible around as he exits church.

You would, as President, find a church and lead by example of attendance. That would indicate leadership, faith, hope and unity of Christian belief.

Well, I would agree with you in that I don’t think Obama really is a Christian, especially from other things that I’ve heard from him and the complete absence of hearing anything from him about accepting the Gospel message and his personal faith in Jesus Christ.

However, just realize that although I do have that personal faith and consider myself to be saved, by acceptance of Christ and what He has done for me on the cross (and that I’ve accepted that, per the Scriptures...) — I *say* (also) that this country is not a Christian nation. I can say, likewise, “We are not a Christian nation.” — and still be a Christian myself...

I hope you understand that someone can say that and still be a Christian themselves (although I don’t think Obama is a Christian, for other reasons...).
