Two observations:

1.) It was a mistake not to jam the pirates’ satellite phones.

2.) It will be a bigger mistake to let them leave the area with our hostage. (Maybe, just maybe, offer them safe passage in return for the lives of the other hostages.)

They are supposedly undoubtedly seeing where all the phone calls are going.

But under no circumstances should they allow them to leave the area.
