Yes, if Bush would have done this, or flew in beef from Japan, etc, there would be Senate investigations and 24/7 press conferences and news coverage.
Instead, we get fashionable explanations over what Michelle was wearing at the time, and how “honored” the chef was to be selected for such an important task, as well as, being graced in the very presence of the Emperor. Not to mention how “Worthy” of an event it all is!

The republican talking points should do it subtley, put it in peoples heads with things like “when did you last fly a chef in” “when did you last have weekly cocktail parties” “when did you last bow down to a foreign muslim king”
I have found over many years, planting the seed is far more effective than fly it in the face.
