WASHINGTON Marc Morano does not think global warming is anything to worry about, and he brags about his confrontations with those who do.
For example, Mr. Morano said he once spotted former Vice President Al Gore on an airplane returning from a climate conference in Bali. Mr. Gore was posing for photos with well-wishers, and Mr. Morano said he had asked if he, too, could have his picture taken with Mr. Gore.
He refused, Mr. Morano said.
You attack me all the time, Mr. Gore said, according to Mr. Morano.
Yes, we do, Mr. Morano said he had replied.
Mr. Gores office said Mr. Gore had no memory of the encounter. Mr. Morano does not care. He tells the story anyway.
As a spokesman for Senator James M. Inhofe of Oklahoma, the ranking Republican on the Environment and Public Works Committee, Mr. Morano was for years a ceaseless purveyor of the dissenting view on climate change, sending out a blizzard of e-mail to journalists covering the issue. Now, with Congress debating legislation to curb carbon dioxide emissions, Mr. Morano is hoping to have an even greater impact. He has left his job with Mr. Inhofe to start his own Web site, ClimateDepot.com.
The site, scheduled to debut this week, will be a one-stop shop for anyone following climate change, Mr. Morano says. He will post research he thinks the public should see, as well as reported video segments and ratings of environmental journalists.
Supporters see Mr. Morano as a crucial organizing force who has taken diffuse pieces of scientific research and fused them into a political battering ram.
Before Marc, efforts to debunk global warming were scattered and disorganized, said John Coleman, a weather broadcaster who helped found the Weather Channel and who has called global warming a scam....

Looks like a good resource website.
I think the guy could have been a bit more confrontational with Gore, though:
Another couple was standing, chatting and having photos taken with Gore in open area near flight attendant station.
Morano waited his turn as Gore chatted and posed for photos.
Morano then shook hands with Gore and spoke.
Morano: “Hi I am Marc Morano, I work for Senator Inhofe, on the Environment and
Public Works Committee.”
Gore: Stands there and gives Morano a long stare...
Morano: “You of course testified before our Committee last March. I am the Communications Director.”
Gore: Continues long stare and then speaks.
“You all attack me all the time.”
Momentary silence between us.
Morano: “Yes. We do.”
Silence.
Morano: “Can I get a picture with you.”
Gore: Continues long stare before finally speaking.
“No. I don”t think so.”
Morano: “Okay. Thanks.”
Gore continues to stare and then finally turns and walks away.
(Despite having taken pictures with others)
Morano returned to his airline seat without incident.

Best analysis of the global warming issue I have seen.
Best analysis of the global warming issue I have seen.
thanks for posting....
Great post. Thanks for sharing. Well written and very clear. Can the author be contacted? He has a few minor typos - to to and doe instead of does.
Otherwise, it is the best and clearest explanation I’ve ever encountered.
Excellent post. Waxman should read it, but, of course,
he wouldn't understand with his tiny brain.
Thanks for the post.
LOL. The reader is supposed not to notice the bias, and is supposed to subliminally acquire the knowledge that CO2 is a "heat-trapping gas" and therefore must be causing global warming, while reading that Morano is denying it. The reader, therefore, should immediately conclude that the guy must be a devil for denying the obvious. The NY Times folks are past masters at inculcating bias into everything they do.

And let’s not forget the late Michael Crichton’s meticulously researched book, State of Fear.
Really good article. Will you please post it as its own thread?
Never mind. It already has.
