Take a gander yourself and you decide who is more popular. Sure President Bush is in Texas but Texas has a pretty large democrat population now and Biden is definitely in lefty loony land.

Pretty heady stuff, I think a baseball park is a good cross section of the areas population and probably of America in general. I think the tide is turning on the democrats and we will be a tidal wave on their destruction!!!

The rumor is that he is planning to buy back the Rangers as a partner with Ryan.

I don't know what can be said about W at the Ball Park in Arlington, Texans have always loved Bush, He would have had to have done everything he was ever accused of to hurt him here. Besides, as far as us Texans were concerned, we never really understood why he wanted to take such a big career step backwards. It just didn't every really make sense as to why he decided to leave the highest, most prestigious office in the world to become President.

Bush threw a ball better than I can.

First day at my local sports organization, let’s just say Jesus wasn’t happy with me.

We watched the Cubs’ 2nd game at Houston on WGN. The idiots on our local cable blacked out ESPN on opening day. Mrs. Henkster commented that she couldn’t believe there was an elderly man wearing a suit at the game. I asked “Is he sitting in the first row behind home plate?” When she said “yes” I replied that you would expect the 41st President of the United States to wear a suit at the ballpark. You would also expect him to have seats in the front row behind the plate. (I have trouble getting those seats at my son’s high school games.)

President Bush is often at the Astros home games. I remember seeing him there when the Astros were in the World Series a few years ago. Whatever other faults Bush 41 had, he has more class in his left pinky finger than Presidents 42 and 44 combined.

I did not detect one boo at the Astro’s game with Bush. I would say with Biden half the stadium booed.

The elder Bushes often go places around Houston. I saw them in person at Westside Tennis Club at the National Clay Court tournaments. Barbara Bush would just walk around and talk to people and wave at them. A delightful couple.

President Bush is a man's man. I think that manly men relate to him on many levels and also respect him for a job well-done. Thus, the cheers and whistles from a crowd of manly, red blooded, patriotic American men.

Biden is not a man's man. He is a wind bag and manly men cannot stand him. He just is not respected and is seen for what he is....a pandering idiot who wants only to be in the spotlight for himself. The crowd consists of many men who, in spite of living in lefty-land, still have a few molecules of testosterone within them, and enough common sense to recognize a putz when they see one.

Would like to change your comment a little, to:
“I reckon you can say Biden throws a baseball like Obama BOWS.”

Both are FOPS.

Nice to see President Bush. I like the way he walks with determination and knows how to pitch. He looks and acts like an American leader.

And he dodges shoes like a ninja! Dubya rocks!

I actually mean a sincere compliment with that. Not only did he show catlike reflexes, he denied all the muzzies the satisfaction of seeing him hit by a shoe.

They had a guy, in the same room, close up, launch a sneak shoe attack, reload and fire again and couldn't hit Dubya.

If they had hit him, by extention, they would have hit America because he was our President. The man made our country proud once again.

To quote MC Hammer: U Can't Touch This

God love ya Dubya!! You made us proud to be Americans so many times!

Although many, including me believe GWB made mistakes, his commitment to America and the defense of her people was never in question.

I love GWB. Did not always agree with him but, my gut tells me he truly loves America and it’s citizens.

I really believe that years from now, it will come to light that he did some of the things he did to compromise in order to keep us safe. He was dealing with ruthless dems who would most definitely use our safety to get their way.

Obama on the other hand, my gut has told me from the beginning he was trouble but, even I could not have imagined he would be this bad.

the crowd at camden yards... baltimore... weren’t “booing”

they were cheering for biden’s son “bo”, who will inevitably take his father’s place on the train back to washington...
