warren is no Billy Graham and I don’t even know that much about Graham other than he stood for the core christian tenets

Billy Graham Crusades filled Yankee stadium and its equivalents for decades. Not exactly a spiffy megachurch with coffee shops and such, but millions heard the gospel truly preached. I remember as a child fifty years or more ago watching Billy Graham on TV and the thousands who responded to his call in great crowds.

Emblematic: Billy Graham has been determined that the name "Billy Graham" would not outlive him as a brand name for his Billy Graham Evangelistic Association. He thought it would be unseemly self-aggrandizement and distract from the focus on the Word of the Lord.

Rick Warren may be a good enough guy, but he doesn't belong in the same league.

I was very happy when my mother told me after he died that my father had answered the call at a Billy Graham revival in the 1940s. If you knew the situation you would marvel at that too.

Wiki says that by 1993 2.5 million people had come up front, I’m not aware of another mortal man doing such good work in his life.
