Rep. John Conyers (D., Mich.) dismissed Mr. Obamas plans as embarrassingly naive, and suggested that the president is being led astray by those around him. Hes the smartest man in American politics today, Rep. Conyers said. But he occasionally gets bad advice and makes mistakes. This is one of those instances.

Hmmm, let’s see, according to Conyers being “embarrassingly naive” is no barrier to being the “smartest man in American politics today”, why do I fear that he is right about this?
Then he indicates that all this includes being dumb enough to listen to bad advice and follow it. Ain’t this grand?
