These are folks who get together, call themselves a Grand Jury, and issue phony indictments that aren’t worth the paper they’re crayoned onto. These are nuts. They’ve slackened off quite a bit, but the center of the constitutionalist belief is that by uttering magic words like “citizens grand jury,” or “sovereign citizen,” and by not writing your name beginning with an upper case letter, that the forces of government will be powerless before them. Good luck with that. One of the key beliefs is that the 16th Amendment was not lawfully ratified so that the income tax is unconstitutional. I happen to believe that to be true as well. Unfortunately, that bit of knowledge will not prevent the government from finding a jury that will put you away for tax evasion if you don’t pay up. Like I said: Nuts.
