Oh, aren't you swell. My point was simply that political science ain't rocket science. You had to dig pretty deep to come up with the jab. Honestly, let's talk to each other without being jerks about it. Let me put my cards on the table: The Constitution has been perverted and subverted, most intensely since the Roosevelt administration. Since Griswold v. Connecticut, Roe v. Wade, etc. the sheeple have come to believe that it is ok, even desirable, for judges to act like super legislators. I believe in the Constitution in exile, pray fervently for the day when we're governed under it again, but despair that it is ever going to happen, because, even when Republicans are in power they're not interested in the Constitution. Recent case in point is Orrin Hatch's support for the District of Columbia to get a vote in the House of Representatives. All that said, what is to be gained by pursuing the mumbo jumbo and silly stuff? When and where, O SonOfPyrodex, were capitalization and gold fringed flags of any legal significance except in the fevered minds of constitutionlists? Answer: Never, that's when. I love the Constitution. I miss it and would like to see it again some day. I'll end by reiterating a point from my last: Just after the 2004 election, I had a liberal friend of mine make the point that synonyms for liberal include "generous" and "kind," and therefore being a political "liberal" is a good thing. Honestly, that's what she said. My point is that labels don't mean anything. Just because the word "constiution" is in the name doesn't mean that the principles of constitutionalists are in accord with the Constitution. We're never going to win the hearts and minds of the people, like my smart but incredibly simplistic and naive friend, if we focus on the silly stuff.

SOP, I think he may intended to post #25 to you also since he referenced you. If not, after looking at your home page, at least I'm in good company!

j.hf, you are correct political science isn't rocket science. I'm well versed in rocket science and it takes sonone who wants to work hard to learn the field. And BTW, it was only twenty-something posts down the page....not that deep.
