White House: Bow? What bow?

I really wasn’t going to write about this again, mostly because I was convinced that the national media had let Barack Obama off the hook completely for his tradition- and protocol-breaking bow to King Abdullah of Saudi Arabia. However, Ben Smith reports that the White House has now been asked about it, thanks to a Washington Times editorial scolding Obama for the move — and that they’re denying it ever happened:

The White House is denying that the president bowed to King Abdullah of Saudi Arabia at a G-20 meeting in London, a scene that drew criticism on the right and praise from some Arab outlets. “It wasn’t a bow. He grasped his hand with two hands, and he’s taller than King Abdullah,” said an Obama aide, who spoke on the condition of anonymity.

His baby blue thong was sticking out of the back of pants.

"If he’d have gone down any further we’d be looking for a blue dress.

Well done. Superb. Excellent. Bravo.

Unfortunately, there are some people — half of them naive; the other half, just plain dumb — who believe ANYTHING Obama says, no matter what Obama does. (Was it Stalin who said the way to get people to believe a lie is just to repeat the lie until is seems impossible that it is a lie?)

Actually, if you look at the video above, it is not even a two-handed shake - but then again, why should I believe my lying eyes?

If there is a FReeper Hall of Fame for posts, that one you just made needs to be there.

Cyber high five!

Yesterday a FReeper screencapped a video giving a side view of the supposed handshake, and lo and behold, one of the One’s hands is down near his thigh.

“Obama is definitely bowing, the King isn’t 4 feet tall!...”

Yeah, and this the best photo I have seen of the man.

He has some? Perhaps he was looking at King Abdullah’s and wondering what they were?

I really wasn’t going to write about this again

What??? And let them off the hook? Are you mad? There's video, there are still photos; proving them to be blatantly lying. He's bowing lower than the "short" king who is not as short as Queen Elizabeth. His other hand is clearly in sight, hanging down, almost between his legs where his tail would be.

And even the leader of the Surrender Monkeys was laughing at him.

Drudge has finally linked to one commentary about it, not very prominently. We ought to be parading it all over the net.

The emperor is nakedly bowing to a foreign king.
