Hillary and Obama will now negotiate a deal.
The pirates will control one half of the kitchen and one half of the mess hall and one half of the head.
The pirates get to control the vessel on add numbered days, the original crew on even numbered days!

.....IF ANYTHING....now companies who own ships that travel the area might want to hire American seamen while considering why they should pay millions in ransom.....or not...*grins*

Depending on the “boats” or ships, it could take a fair amount of time to travel 250 miles. If they have speed boats, maybe 5 hours at 50 mph, depending on wave conditions and boats involved. Maybe 8 hours would be more realistic. If ships, a bit longer. The best solution would be to send out helicopters to guard the ship until the boats or ships arrive, to fend off any further attacks.

“How about a few big ol crossbows?”
Thinking the same thing. Crossbows, spear-guns, shark-sticks, tasers, throwing tomahawks, flash bags grenades, the possibilities are endless...

Brietbart reports that the Captain and First Mate are Massachusetts Maritime Academy graduates. MMA recently introduced a mandatory antipiracy course, which includes small arms training.
I think it’s time to put in an advanced course including the M2 and M279.

Big mistake not tossing all four, leaving one to testi-lie about the actions of the crew, they could end up in trouble or being hauled before the world court.

What about both? Hang ‘em overboard to the fishes. Proceed at trolling speed. ARRRGGGGGHHH! /;)
HIGHLY recommended and timely reading, a page-turner that will give you goosebumps:
Zacks, Richard. Pirate Coast, The: Thomas Jefferson, the First Marines, and the Secret Mission of 1805.
Below is a very short but excellent clip explaining what Jefferson was up against, both abroad with the pirates themselves and at home with John Adams:
"John Adams, however, belived that paying tribute to the pirates, like the Euro-peons [sic] did, was best. Adams felt that if Euro-peon nations had been paying tribute for generations, it would not be detrimental to America's international standing to do the same. . . ."
My gosh; how what's old becomes new again!

Isn't that water torture?
Those Americans will be brought up on charges. The international court and the democrats will see to that.

Don't know what source Fox was talking to - but he said the last thing they want is a fight on board these ships because of the danger of someone being killed. It seems the crews are told not to fight back.
Reminds me of them telling women who are being raped to just shut up and enjoy it!!

Fire extinguishers, tools, monkeyfist lines (its a knot at the end of a line to make a weight for throwing) pieces of chain, heck since I used to be a chief engineer I could literally make a weapon in minutes.
The old ships used to just use a live steam. But on a diesel there wouldn't be that option. I'm thinking one of those pumpkin chunkers. They can throw a pumpkin through a car almost a mile away. Think what they could do with a bowling ball!

Folks this is no small event, for all we know this ship could have been used as a massive suicide bomb against our naval vessels, and we AMERICANS fought back!
We always FIGHT BACK!
