I can’t believe this auto author just compared the GC gas mileage to a Toyota Camry.

Will he now compare Camry mileage to a Segway?

I’m sure Obummer has an SUV stashed somewhere.

I wonder when our new overlords will make Dodge scrap the RAM pickup?

Hey! A great way to look at this is Chrysler telling Obama to shove it up his arse (ask Larry Sinclair how that’s done)!

"The Jeep Grand Cherokee isn’t new. It is a staple of American culture and image."

Precisely. This is just another leftist reporter being stupid or disingenuous or both. More important to serve the propaganda than the truth, don't you know!

"It sounds crazy"

This is supposed to be the opening sentence of a news article? This is nothing more than leftist editorializing under the guise of "reporting".

Agitprop, pure and simple.

They can rip my Jeep Commander from my cold, dead hands.

Same with my Wrangler. These nutcases don't realize that some of us NEED such a vehicle. I live in the boonies with 1/2 mile of my own road. This is a wildlife refuge (I'm an active environmentalist, not an environmental activist) and it gets used more as an implement than a toy. Sometimes I barely make it through the snow with both axles locked. Try that with a Prius!

Remember when Dodge Powerwagons were offroad trucks rather than fancy interstate cruisers?

They can always sell them overseas to oil countries.

“It sounds crazy”

No it doesn’t. After spending a small fortune to develop this model, should Chrysler scrap it to appease the envirowhackos? It’s a Chrysler model that actually sells.

As Larry King said “someone’s gotta think for the masses”.

In other words, they don’t trust ‘what the people want’.

Remember Bill Clinton saying you wouldn’t spend your own money right?

Only the government can think that the auto makers are unprofitable by selling high margin SUV’s and will be made more profitable by making union benefits stronger....
