>> Hispanics made up nearly half of the more than 1 million people who became U.S. citizens last year, according to a Hispanic advocacy group.

Good grief — its only 500,000 people nationwide. And, they earned their citizenship the right way — they waited in line, they took the tests. Their race is entirely irrelevant.

There is no reason the GOP cannot win the votes of individuals that love America enough to do the work required to become citizens.

Really? You mean like LaRaza or MEChA or LULAC or the Hispanic Caucus? You mean irrelevant like that?

Exactly! But don't waste your time trying to convince the slackjawed nuckledragging Rushbots around here of that fact...they are determined to take the GOP the way of the Whigs. Meanwhile, there are ample reasons to believe that the 50,000 new Americans want to be hard-working, patriotic and will seek conservatism over cradle-to-grave socialism if we'd just forget about race, religion, and previous national origins.
