I wonder how many legal guns are owned by Americans. Anybody know? Then I wonder how many legal guns are actually used in the commission of a crime? I bet cars kill or maim a far higher percentage of people than do legal guns.
It would also be interesting to determine how many people are killed or maimed by other weapons—knives, bats, bricks bare hands etc.
Don’t put knife legislation past them. They are out to restrict freedom, not save people. They couldn’t give a damn about that.
Take this paragraph: “Gun rights groups argue that the Virginia Tech shooter bought his weapons at a gun shop, not at a show, and that they shouldn’t be held responsible for background checks that didn’t work.” It’s not a matter of opinion. Cho was breaking the law by attempting to buy a gun because he was mentally defective. The background checks DIDN’T WORK because they didn’t stop an illegal gun purchase. What the hell are more laws going to do?
