Gen Sherman was a bloodthirsty killer, history proves this,

History proves he did what was necessary to win the war.

Harry Truman did what was necessary to end WWII.

We have been fighting to an intentional stalemate since then. You either win or lose. Nothing in between. A stalemate is a loss.

Truman’s bombing of Japanese cities was cold blooded murder. Nothing else.

The Japanese were making peace overtures to us since 1943 and the two bombs were superfluous.

Stick to facts.

How would we win in Afghanistan? Bomb the entire nation until not one living soul remains?

Try to focus ont he fact that the Civil War was started by the north two years before Lincoln freed the slaves so it wasn’t about freeing the slaves it was about establishing an all-powerful federal govt (kind of like we have now).

Let’s, as conservatives, not excuse the evils of the past.
