"So do you think this is the photo Nancy Pelosi taped her head over to prove she saw the Pope?" my wife kidded me about this article's picture of Pope Benedict XVI and Mary Ann Glendon, former U.S. Ambassador to the Vatican and current Harvard law professor, not to mention this year's recipient of the University of Notre Dame's Laetare Medal, ND's highest award for Catholics. While her picture with the Pope is proof that Professor Glendon, dubbed "the pro-life feminist" by the secular press, was, unlike Pelosi (whom His Holiness resolutely refused to grant even the briefest photo-op to, lest it be construed as acceptance of the speaker's heretical Catholic stances and thus lead to scandal), in good standing with the Holy See, does that mean she will stand up for the Faith when she takes the stage almost immediately before Obama during next month's controversial commencement at Notre Dame?

Yeah, sure no POSED photo-op. There were pictures and video of the Holy Father greeting Her Heinousness.
Sorry, but the perception of the majority of the world, is that Pelosi visited the Pope and he did nothing to address her full scale support of abortion, while calling herself a Catholic.
Notre Dame is a test. Do we accept what is being shoved down our throats or do we declare enough is enough? If the Board doesn’t stand for morals and principles, the ripple effect will be the loss of the country.
I never saw one picture...do you have a link??
Mrs. Don-o posted the names of nukmbers of the Board of Trustees for Notre Dame....I am going to call them today.
I saw it briefly on the local news.
Someone here on FR said they had seen it on FoxNews as well. Another Freeper opined that the LeftMedia was running old video from a prior meeting (??).
The larger point being that the Holy Father did not make an overt and public statement condemning Pelosi to counter this (at minimum) POTENTIAL misconception.
Paging Mrs. Don-o......I don’t know HOW to forward.....I’m an old lady housewife....sorry.
It is time to stop “turning the other cheek” and stand firm and vocally for Christianity in the name of God and for the Love of Jesus Christ.
YUK!!!! I hope he washed his hand after that!
The politican in lilac is directly responsible for stainless steel trash receptacles, in clinics across the country, full of dismembered baby limbs, and the Holy Father smiles?
See Post #17....it is not the Board of Trustees, but the Fellows of the University that matter more.

Puke. It’s a wonder she was struck down by lighening for posing as a human being.
Meant wasn’t struck down by ligtening.
As a private admonition, it was pastoral and therefore (like Confession, for instance) not a venue for publicity.
From the Vatican statement 2/18/2009:
"Following the General Audience the Holy Father briefly greeted Mrs Nancy Pelosi, speaker of the United States House of Representatives, together with her entourage.
"His Holiness took the opportunity to speak of the requirements of the natural moral law and the Church's consistent teaching on the dignity of human life from conception to natural death which enjoin all Catholics, and especially legislators, jurists and those responsible for the common good of society, to work in cooperation with all men and women of good will in creating a just system of laws capable of protecting human life at all stages of its development."
She also had a private meet with her Arcbishop (I don't know which was first, the Pope or the Archbishop) but since then, she has not been seen going to Communion, so I assume that's what the admonitions were all about.
All those pictures and videos of Pelosi in the purple pant suit, even if they ran in Feb 2009, were I believe taken on April 16, 2008 when the Pope was in the USA and met the President (Bush) and Pelosi amd other officials.
I am not really a news-sleuth, and if I am mistaken anout any of this I would be grateful for a correction.
...And a BIG, BIG PROTEST IS A-COMIN' which stirs my activist imagination and makes me think Obama is gonna unite us after all :o)
Imagine 20,000 young, old, hip, square, tie-dyed, purple-haired, properly-hatted and mantilla-covered, yarmulke-wearing and rosary-praying, Catholic and not-Catholic-by-a-long-shot, All-Baby-Loving People United CLOSING DOWN THE STREETS OF SOUTH BEND singing
Please forgive me if I've pinged you more than once. I'm getting kinda excited, here... Please click on the links and get involved!

Paper, printer, snail-mail!
Ready, set, GO!
Not just Catholiocs, but anybody and everybody, please write to your local Catholic bishop and strongly urge him to make a statement against the Obama Scandal. The Cardinal Newman Society website has strong quotes from the statements of the 17 bishops who have already spoken out against Notre Dame, and these should be PRINTED AND SENT TO YOUR BISHOP, as a good example, encouragement, and template for his own actions.
Gotta go now. I'm doing that right now.
Good work.
Unless told otherwise, I will cheerfully keep you on my list.
If you want me to delete your name, I will just as cheerfully remove you if you will send me a "Private Message".
I'm asking for "Private Message" for deletions only, to ensure that I see your request.
This thing keeps getting bigger every day. As the song says, "Onward to Victory!"
