This picture was on FR a couple years ago.That explains the fallacy. I viewed and discussed these photos friday with family, and contended that the A340-600 is not the "largest passenger aircraft ever built". If the photos are several years old, that could be true, but now that title belongs to the A380.

Depends what specification one is talking about. If it's length then the A340-600 is indeed the largest passenger aircraft ever built; at 247’ 1” it is longer than both the A380 - 239’ 3” and the 747-400 - 231’ 10”.
