I’m just becoming aware of Jeff Satinover’s work in this area (I’m reading his Quantum Brain)and I find it resonates at a very deep level......that so much of what is commonly ascribed to genetics really boils down to early programming that is open to change should one choose to do so.
Yeah, that's what was taught to me in psychology class years ago.
Everyone is born a blank page, blah, blah.
I knew a psychology student intern that was planning on raising his newborn in a socially sterile environment, void of mother/baby contact. Similar to how condor hatchlings a raised.
After getting out in the real world, having 3 kids of my own and friends with kids, I realized people are born with at least certain personality proclivities.
My 3 kids were very different, growing up in the same house, same parents, etc.
I can't see how they can be so different unless there is a genetic factor.
I believe many gays are genetically predisposed to their attraction.
Some choose it. It's an 'in' thing with girls I understand.
The argument has been simmering for years, and we still await the first unambiguous piece of evidence for the genetic case. But beliefs irrationally arrived at are impervious to rational disputation.
