I even found it in the past election. A woman who was supporting Obama was doing so on the basis of feelings and felt those feelings were more important than facts.

I may be wrong, but I think that many people that voted for him either did it on emotion or on shallow reaons, like skin color. I don't really think people here want socialism - but many voted for it out of ignorance. Which is, of course, no excuse. They deserve what they get. Unfortunately, the rest of us get is as well.
