Never confuse intellect with intelligence.
As I grow older, I have come to value "common sense" more than "book smarts".
That process actually began with a philosophy class I took my senior year in college. The "light went on" when my professor, a Jesuit priest, ripped the veneer off the mystery of philosophy: "with philosophy, it's not what you say, it's how you say it. Philosophy is nothing but a bunch of bull$hit".
I'm proud of the "B" I earned in that class. I was one of two students (of 14) in that class that wasn't a theology major.
