If Barry can singlehandedly impeach the president of GM, force an arranged marriage between Chrysler and Fiat, and back private companies warranties (funny, none of these Presidential powers are found in the Constitution) he should not be surprised if some folks want to impeach him based on his bad performance and push for his departure from the White Crib, a process which, ironically, IS in the Constitution.
These are the people who voted for and contributed millions to Obummer, knowing in their gut that he was bad for the country but good for them; or so they thought.
Now he is truly the dog that bites the hand that feeds him.
The big banks and Wall Street are getting exactly what they deserve.
Only this dog has now turned into an alligator with an insatiable appetite, devouring everything in sight.
They financed him, voted for him, then begged for money from him. A pox on all their houses.
Gorelick earned an estimated $26,000,000 serving as vice chair of Fannie Mae from 1998 to 2003.
The Clinton administration's White House Budget Director Franklin Raines ran Fannie and collected $50,000,000.
Big Democrat Jim Johnson, recently on Obama's VP search committee, has hauled in millions from his Fannie Mae CEO job. Johnson earned $21,000,000 in just his last year at Fannie Mae.
Can we limit the Congressman Grayson's pay for being incompetent and acting outside the realm of the Consitution?
It will be interesting to see how the Hollywood libs react to the new Government Pay Scale Act when they can no longer accept 20 million dollars to act in a movie. I guess that will be the only entertainment Ill get out of this Communist Revolution.
Errrr, if this is true, why doesn't our Republican minority leader simply do what he did concerning the campaign finance laws and petition SCOTUS to hear it? If is is not true, why is it being purpoted as such?
And this is the divide and conquer process. First they demonize the bankers and limit them. Then, they'll demonize some other group and continue the process.
As disagreeable as it may seem to you, the right thing to do here is to stand up for the rule of law and the bankers contracts. Otherwise, the alligator will get around to you and me.
Bankers and Finance folks have been greedy forever. This wasn't caused by the current crop being extraordinarily greedy, but by the current crop of politicians being extraordinarily corrupt. Well, corrupt is one way to think of it. The other is that they are socialists and are just fine with bringing down the system, and they created laws like CRA designed to screw things up.
That's a lie;
one loses credibility in debating anything by being untruthful about it.
The bill, awful as it is, is written in fairly plain language. Read it yourself.
We have all heard the old saw that history should be studied to avoid repeating mistakes. So we study history and then go right ahead and repeat the same mistakes all over again. The “business” men and women who contributed to The Marxist Onada’s coup remind of the German business people who supported Hitler. Of course, once the little fascist gained power he proceeded to take them—and Germany— down the road to hell.
American business people are merely repeating history. Never learned a thing.
Blame it all on the money changers? That satisfies you? Have they broken the law and been convicted so that the may be assessed some type of fine?
"That's a lie;"
It is. That language has been traveling with every 'Americorps' authorization since the Bush administration. It's intended to prevent the use of the organization to achieve political/religious ends: Leave your NOI stuff at home, etc. People have been bringing this up a lot as 'an assault on the First Amendment' when in fact it is the opposite.
Only to comment that putting one’s own interests above the interests of the country is not productive.
And that I am happy to see that those who have are getting their noses rubbed in it.
The list of "important" companies would be in the following categories.....
.....electricity
.....oil
.....coal
.....natural gas
.....nuclear power fuel
.....food
.....clothing
.....transportation
.....communication
.....news
You see, EVERYTHING with the exception of entertainment is "important enough" for government take-over.
You left off health care on your list.
Good Catch.
How about legal council too? Naw, that would put the Lawyers under federal control. They would never put themselves under that. So it looks like everything except entertainment and lawyers will be taken over.
Do you try to comprehend what other's write, or just spout your one liners?
I blamed no one for anything in that post other than blaming people who should know better for voting for and for contributing huge sums of money to Obummer, the Marxist. simply because they expect personal gain at the expense of the rest of us.
Nor is that a false accusation, as many of them came out publicly during the campaign supporting him.
The fact that I constantly refer to Obummer as a Marxist, which he is, should give you a hint that I am not anti-business or anti-wealth. Were I either, I would support him rather than pointing out that he is a Marxist.
My only point is that those who abandon the Constitution for their own personal gain will live to regret it and I do get some satisfaction from seeing those who put their self interest above the rest of us get their nose rubbed in it.
The movie industry is of no importance so it would be exempt from the law.
I get no satisfaction in seeing the administration trample the Constitution and due process. This time they blame the bankers; next time? Obama is fast becoming a socialist fascist.
Maybe now they will see that they bet on the wrong horse and that they need to make a serious change in their politics.
If the financial community had thrown their money behind McCain, who I did not consider conservative, we would at least have had a more reasonable person in office and with Sarah Palin on our side, we would not be dashing pell mell into Marxism.
The financial people need a kick in the ass to wake them up. I hope they know that they got one.
