You may remember a tune called "Expressway to Your Heart" by the Soul Survivors from 1967. Change a few of the personnel and -- voila! -- you have The Ides of March!
If you listen carefully, you'll note that this song is about a child molester told from his point of view. Pretty bold for 1970.
