Philly - there's more to it than that - my Confederate ancestor - who was from Virginia - was captured and imprisoned at Fort Delaware from whence he was paroled. He went to Philly and settled there. After the war, he met and married my great-great grandmother there much to the chagrin of my ggg-grandfather, who had been a a corporal in Battery C. 5th U.S. Artillery, who is reputed to have pursued my Confederate ancestor with his service pistol.

On the Yes recording, check out the recorders in the arrangement. Those wooden flutes add a nice touch.
(You can guess I'm a classical musician.)

Aloha Alfa6!
Always fascinated by the old Grumman A/C......ever since I saw one at an air show in upstate NY. Saw a pair of Hellcats at Hickham years later....another show. They're incredibly noisy, ain't all that pretty but the aviators loved 'em and wouldn't trade 'em for anything.....short of an F-4U that could land on a carrier deck.

Leonard and Phil Chess, two Polish born immigrants, founded Chess Records the pre-eminent Blues label of the 50s and 60s.Eventually they created a monopoly of Chicago music recording, doing sessions and releasing recordings by every major blues performer from John Lee Hooker, Elmore James, "King of the Slide Guitar", to Bo Diddley through Jimmy Reed, Chuck Berry and everyone in between.

Ah. Lifer. I did my 2 year hitch, spent 2 years in professional broadcasting in Seattle -- a meteoric rise followed by an equally meteoric fall -- then 31 years programming computers before I packed it in.
The Army pension must have come in handy.

My part of Kansas City only got at best an inch of snow last weekend. Folks a few miles to the south of me got 4 to 6 inches. The folks down towards Wichita, about 180 miles south, south west of KC, got as much as 2 feet.
I ain’t gonna complain to much about an inch:-)
