If the Senate approves a budget proposal, the matter would then go before a House-Senate conference committee where differences between the two measures would be mediated.

Previous amendment allowed people to choose their own plan and doctor, effectively preventing the government mandating of the same. It was (I believe) approved.

I don’t think this is the actual budget. It’s just a frame of the actual budget that will be voted on later. Am I wrong?

Watching this is like waiting for a hurricane.
You know it is coming, yet all you can do is sit and wait for it.

If the Senate approves it, it would then go before a House-Senate conference committee where differences between the version the House passed earlier and this one will be mediated.

Spend more than you confiscate in taxation and you’ll end up bankrupt, even a caveman could vote against excessive Congressional spending

Not to my knowledge.
The House version of the budget passed today by a margin of 233-196 in a virtual party-line vote. All but 20 House Democrats supported it; no House Republican voted in favor.

I thought it must be something like that: the AP has a long story about it without mentioning any specifics other than the vote ‘largely’ following party lines.

The amendments are just “feelgood” nonsense, so the RINOs can say they were justified in voting for this monstrosity.
When the bill passes, every damn one of the amendments with any teeth in it will be tossed out in conference.
What do you want to bet?

Does that mean thrift stores can’t sell used children’s items?
