Michelle obama vs. Jackie kennedy

Michelle obama is now in europe with her husband. The media seems to be trying to make her into another jackie kennedy. But jackie kennedy lived in another world. It was a world where liberals like her husband still had the guts to stand up to foreign tyrants. It was a world where women were respected even if they didn’t stand up and give speeches to gay and lesbian groups, as michelle obama has done. It was a world where the chrome was thick and the women were straight and we had a charming elegant first lady who impressed the entire world with her grace and charm.
So what are the differences between michelle obama and jackie kennedy?
• jackie kennedy was born in southampton, new york, michelle obama was born in chicago, illinois.
• jackie kennedy went to vassar and george washington university. Michelle obama went to princeton.
• jackie kennedy was raised to be a socialite. Michelle obama was raised to be an anti-socialite socialist.
• jackie kennedy wooed foreign dignitaries. Michelle obama was booed by foreign protesters.
• jackie kennedy exuded pride in america. Michelle obama said the first time she was proud of america was when her husband started doing well in the polls.
So in this corner we have, at 5 feet, seven inches tall, weighing in at 120 pounds, jackie kennedy. And in this corner, we have, at 5 feet, eleven inches tall, weighing in at 137 pounds, michelle obama. Who will be remembered as the better role model for the girls and young women of america? I’ll let the savage nation decide.
Madoff’s “bull” confiscated
The news tells us that federal agents in florida seized bernie madoff’s boats. Near fort lauderdale, the agents took control of the 55-foot custom boat, called “bull”, at a local marina. In west palm beach, they seized “little bull”, a smaller, 24-foot boat. It looks like madoff’s bull is finally starting to catch up with him.
In addition to the two boats, authorities are going after a sport yacht which is docked in france, real estate in new york, palm beach, and france, cars, a steinway piano, silverware, and jewelry. What the news does not tell us is whether ruth madoff, ruthie, who saw bernie through good times, and even better times, will be joining her husband in the pen. So far, she is still allowed to go shopping on fifth avenue. And what about their children, the good boys, mark and andrew? Their assets have been frozen, but when will they be cooling themselves in a jail cell?
And more to the point, when is the s.e.c. going to be cleared out from top to bottom? Obama promised us an open administration. So when are all the corrupt apparatchicks within the s.e.c. going to be turned out on their ears? When is the s.e.c. employee who was married to madoff’s niece going to be investigated, and if necessary, tried, convicted, and imprisoned? When are we going to see chris cox in an orange jump suit on his way to a super max?
It doesn’t look like it’s doing to happen any time soon. Because in spite of all his promises, obama has a few problems of his own. It turns out that just like geithner and daschle and half a dozen others, obama’s health and human services nominee, kathleen sebelius, has a tax problem of her own. So bernie madoff may have a “bull” problem. But it’s nothing compared to b.o.’s.
Doc better be very careful. Words can be twisted for ratings and controversy.
