What the radar purposted to have shown was inconclusive.
You think that civilian air traffic controllers are in the habit of suggesting a military air intercept when faced with 'inconclusive' radar signals?
Tell us you're not THAT stupid.
The radar reflections, whetever they were, were not even in the area where the pilot claimed he saw the "mothership". They were behind the 747 in an area where the folks on the flightdeck could not see.
So what you're saying is that a veteran team of professional pilots (talking about the JAL plane) just suddenly either took leave of their senses, lost all of their combined experience, and went into a panic like student pilots in a one engine Cessna, eh?
Note that those pilots were in no way penalized for their report, nor were they prohibited from continuing to fly as was their profession. If there was the slightest doubt as to their competency, they would never have seen the inside of a cockpit again.
there was nothing to debunk.
So you say. You must be channeling Klass.

It may be SOP in these cases. We are talking about Alaska, after all. Arctic gateway to our enemies, or, should I say our less friendlies.
So what you're saying is that a veteran team of professional pilots
This thing as allaegedly flying around around them for thirty to forty minutes at fairly close range. They had a camera in the cockpit. They where Japanese for crying out loud, and they couldnt manage to get a picture of this aircraft carrier-size, well-lit mothership. Some nonsense about only having ASA100 speed film in the camera. They are Japanese for crying out loud!! They take pictures of everything!! You shoot the film and push process it afterwards. Esp. if there is the chance someone is going to question your mental faculties afterwards.
They are Japanese for crying out loud!!
Amazing.
You must be channeling Klass.
Better than ET uncle.

Channeling
KLASS would be an IMPROVEMENT
as dreadfully stupid and out of touch with reality as channeling Klass would be.

ACTUALLY, IIRC, the VERY LARGE UFO
was all over the place around the plane. Circling the plane on at least a couple of dimensional axis . . . including fore and aft.
Radar reflections confirmed this, IIRC.
Any naysayer’s off the top of their empty headed assumptions are whole cloth utter nonsense concocted out of ignorance, bias and self-righteous arrogant-to-the-max haughtiness, imho.
