That change thing just kicked in.
You know, working at Alan Wood Steel in Bridgeport, Pa, was one of the best jobs that I ever had, and I worked on the Batteries.
When they pushed the coke out at night it lit up the sky in the nearby town of Swedeland.
Locals called it "The Swedeland Sunset."
Hard, hot, and cruel, it was great work.
Of course endless regulations and union demands got that plant shipped right to Japan. - At least the BOF was shipped there.
The batteries are long gone and the only thing remaining is the rolling mill, which is some other company, of course.
We worked endless swing shifts to keep it going.
You are correct - they don't like to be shut.
I didn't think that you could restart one after a protracted cool down. - too much damage.
If the EPA is sniffing around then that isn't good.
Obviously the job of destroying American industry is not yet complete if they are on the prowl.
Of course, the irony, which is obvious to most, is that many of these captains of industries' employees voted with their unions to bring Obama in. Now, their benefit from electing this administration is unemployment or underemployment for all.
Filmed in a Russian church in Cleveland
They filmed in Ohio and West Virginia
