Even Chris Matthews was RAILING about the Injustice of this! Ted Stevens had written on a letter to the contractor to make sure that he got billed for the ENTIRE job, so as not to end up in trouble like Bob Toricelli....and the Justice Dept. hid it from the jury!!
Chris Matthews was very critical of Sen. Stevens when he was still in office. Now that it’s over he finally starts to see the injustice. Democratic Senators wouldn’t let Bush fire Justice Dept. attorneys. If those attorneys had known they would be fired for misconduct, I wonder if they would have gone after Stevens.
