I dont recall Irishmen per se being sent to America as slaves. Most of them came off their own bat.

White people of all creeds and nationalities were sent as “indentured servants”, which is an old PC way of saying “slave”, and many more were sentenced to the colonies for various criminal infractions.

Incidentally, in spite of the knee-jerk moral outrage to that last, there is evidence that many people deliberately committed minor offences just so they could be transported. After all, its cheaper than having to buy passage! Besides, compared to their current circumstance, a “new life” in the “new world” was very attractive to many folk.

Most liberal Democrat proponents of the black victim society refute that there were any white slaves. Public education ignores the history. PC history also ignores the data. Try Google Irish Slaves or www.ewtn.com/library/Humanity/Slaves.TXT for just one reference.

It is not in the interest of the black poor poor pitiful me victims to acknowledge there were significant numbers of white slaves.
