GOOGLE recently announced a new feature: "Undo Send." It holds e-mail for 5 seconds - time for a sender to reconsider and be spared the kind of embarrassment that ensnared top aides to Governor Patrick this week. But even the brightest minds at Google couldn't have saved the Patrick administration from the way it mishandled the Marian Walsh matter.
The West Roxbury senator withdrew yesterday from the high-paying job the administration had engineered for her, saying, correctly, that a "tsunami" of public criticism had swamped her appointment to the Massachusetts Health and Educational Facilities Authority.
At every level - substantively and strategically - the Walsh appointment was wrong from the start.

can somebody sum up for me what happened here?
I quit using Google when I found out it was run by leftest.
Her husband was given a no-show government job 6 months ago at $113,000 which is on top of his $100,000 a year pension he receives as a retired judge.
Marian Walsh wanted her payoff.
The governor's office found a position that hadn't been filled in twelve years. They changed the job description to match up with Sen. Walsh's experience. They told the agency what her salary would be ($175,000). The governor's aids provided the agency with talking points and a press release for the new hire.
This all took place as Massachusetts is in a supposed budget crisis.
The Senator rescinded the position after too many taxpayers and news outlooks started looking into the agency (HEFA) and as to what they actually do and how as to how much money they receive from the state.
There is also an email trail implicating the governor's office towards this patronage hire.
Howie Carr was so depressed to have to talk about Walsh’s withdrawal yesterday. NOT! :)
The amazing thing is that the job she really wanted was to be a judge like her husband.
She didn’t impress me at all.
Marian Walsh also mentioned her leadership skills. The only problem is that the job title was for an assistant deputy director. That sounds like a secretary job, not a leadership position.
The governor said he should have handled things differently. This means he should have never given her the job.
I haven’t trusted Google, either. and as cool as Google Earth is, it’s rather creepy at the same time. Not to mention that when you search an address on Google, you have the option of looking at the actual scene in every direction from that location! (at least on quite a few addresses-including mine.) If you go to my address, you can turn the camera and see the lady across the street outside watching her toddlers play. FREAKY! What kind of camera/vehicle can do that? (I’m a obviously ignorant here)
holy crud! thanks for the insight. corrupt libtards.
