I drove to my new GoodYear store last week to get a new set of tires ($800). As I approached the front door, I noticed the "gun free zone" sign on the door. I took my weapon back to the car and secured it ... then went back in and asked for the manager. I asked him who's policy that was on the door, his or his company's. It is GOODYEAR's policy, not the local store. So I told him what I needed and why I wasn't going to buy it from him. Went 2 blocks away to a new business and bought $800 worth of tires from a guy that used to work for GoodYear. I told him why I was buying tires from him and he thanked me (then privately showed me his 45 he carries all the time right there in his store). He said, you are welcome to carry here, ... better there's TWO of us against them, huh?

Boycot Goodyear if you are afraid of Gun Free Zones like I am. And take a second step ... tell them why.

I ignore those signs.....The only legal recourse the store owner has is to ask you to leave.

That stated, I also would not patronize that business and let the owner know why as well.

Great job! Goodyear can take their stinkin’ tires back up north....
