There are Mennonite communities in Mexico, and they would tend to live in remote areas but it is unclear why they crossed the border this day. They immediately returned south when the realized they had been spotted.

There are several different Mennonite communities in Belize and they’re not all the same, so please be careful when making a blanket statement like that.

They ARE big producers of eggs, dairy products, and other farm products, and there may be SOME who also grow marijuana, but that is not typical of most of them by far.

According to a poster on another site they are from North Texas and are at a Bible school in messyco. They went to check out the border. He even has pictures of them from their Facebook site. And, yes the clothes in the pictures match.
