There are almost 10,000 absentees out. The only thing we’ll know tonight, is that we won’t know who won - probably not for a few weeks.
The GOP traditionally does well in absentees, however the Dems have been doing better since about 2006. It’s impossible to say who won here.
Goodnight, FRiends.
The Democrat will win after they get done with the absentee count. There will be shenanigans such as happened in Minnesota with Al Franken. The Democrat will win. I will be pleasantly surprised if the Republican won instead.
To be fair the older the absentees the greater the chance they favor Tedisco. Remember, just a few weeks ago Tedisco had a double-digit lead. That became a small lead about 10 or so days ago and a dead-heat now.
Given that the votes will be fairly counted (which is NOT a given), I’d probably rather be Jim Tedisco now than Murphy. We’ll see.
We’ll never know who one, but one thing is for certain: the Democrat will be declared the victor in this one. Republicans just can’t compete with the Democrat recount machine.
military ballots?
a 60,000 vote margin is not enough to offset ACORN. The military ballots might put this one in the GOP column for once
