Of course criticism of Obama isn’t Obama Derangement Syndrome. We need to be right on his heels for the next 4 years, criticizing what he’s doing wrong. But at the same time, we can’t get distracted by nonsense like the whole certifitruther controversy.
I agree. Unfortunately, I'm detecting in outlets like Pajamas Media, as well as folks like David Frum, a tendency towards the spineless - any forceful opposition to Obama constitutes ODS, so we have to "redefine" a softer, nicer conservatism. We need to oppose Obama at every turn, as forcefully as we can, because we have truth and reason on our side. We need to do so because Obama is wrong - flat, simply, undeniably wrong - in the things he and his cohorts are trying to do. They will destroy the country if left unhindered. Rush is right - I want Obama to fail too, because Obama is trying to destroy our constitutional, capitalistic, politically-free system of government and life, and I hope and pray that his efforts fail miserably.
Won't happen, though, if conservatives get suckered into the David Frum approach of playing footsie with a guy who really is trying to change America at its core.
