You’re not alone. This current hell we are living, is waking up many of the sleeping patriots out there. People who have never been inspired to do anything political are getting involved because of the abuse of power we are witnessing. I think it is Rush who has pointed out that everytime our country goes too far left, it goes back to the right. I am sure that by the 2010 and especially the 2012 elections, Americans will vote for freedom again, they will see what has been lost and take our country back. Hang in there. I was inconsolable after the election. I mean really really sad, somber was the word. I knew what was going to happen. It all has happened and more, and faster than expected. The growing rebellion against socialism has been very heartening. I did not expect so many usually silent conservatives, to start protesting and objecting like they are. It is a very good sign of good things to come. Seeing O take over GM was another stunner. One of many. Even some of the union auto workers went on record as not liking the firing of the CEO of GM. We are winning over not just middle of the road republicans, but some democrats who can see what is happening.

"The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results" Albert Einstein

This is the quote that immediately comes to mind whenever I hear that argument. Are Americans insane for thinking that electing people who espouse fascist, left-wing policies is actually a good idea in spite of the fact that it has led to disaster every other time, and in every other place it has been tried? Or are Americans just too damn ignorant, lazy, and/or unwilling to perform any critical thinking when it comes to the future of the country? Perhaps a mixture of both?

Either way, it is beyond frustrating.
