Half of the people who identify themselves as Catholic are actually Catholic. It takes a little more than saying so to be so.

In general, Americans who are the most religious also tend to be the most conservative on moral issues. Catholics are no exception. Regular churchgoing Catholics (defined as those who attend church weekly or almost every week) are significantly less likely to find most issues measured in this research morally acceptable than are Catholics who do not attend church regularly.
The chart is still higher than it should be, but it does drop when you count only those who attend regularly.

I would question the results of this poll as being agenda driven.
To the proclaimed Catholics who actually believe abortion is acceptable, they have a fundamental misunderstanding of what being Catholic is.

Unfortunately, I know of 2 such families. Well, they support “choice”. Quite frankly, they have no real understanding of why the Church believes as she does.
We’re part of the uneducated generation being taught in the 70s.
