Actually I think that Schock is fairly conservative.

Think again. Schock admits to being "progessive minded" and says his role model is Teddy Roosevelt (link).

In other words, Schock is a McCainian Republican.

Full quote for the record:

When I asked Schock who his favorite president was, he told me Teddy Roosevelt, because he was “a very progressive minded… but at the same time conservative-principled person.”

“Congressman Aaron Schock (R-IL) announced his opposition to the Employee Free Choice Act, which was introduced in Congress today.” this and his vote against porkulus are better than any dim in that seat.

Theodore Roosevelt was in some ways even more socialist than his cousin. He certainly would never be mentioned by a real conservative as a role model. He was a jingoist, imperialist big-government busybody butt-insky of the worst sort.
