Schocks ACU rating, 76, is currently lower than McCains.Schock voted yea for H.R. 1586, an ex post facto law (or possibly bill of attainder) that would have taxed AIG executive bonuses at a special 90 percent marginal federal income tax rate. Note that Article I, Section 9 of the United States Constitution forbids the Federal Government from passing such laws (including amnesties), but that apparently has not stopped them from doing so in the past.

Secretly she wants a far right, anti-feminist (shovenist-AKA real man) husband to tell her to shut up!

You don’t get the impression that Meg does that he’s ‘ideologically flexible’?
To: JSDude1
I think you mean “chauvinist.” I don’t even want to think about what a “shovenist” might entail.

I’m with you. We need to institute a Meghan McCain moratorium.

Seeing her posted on FR is very tiresome. This is a gossip column/blog reference, not news. Her 15 minutes would be over by now if people would just ignore her. The Left will keep using her to continue their opposition's divide. If it's Schock up for discussion, let's discuss away without another tedious, unimportant McCain reference!

At least that guy has a good body. I never understood the comments about Obama’s chest and stomach. O’s body is nothing special.

Could we PLEASE not post any more Meghan McCain items. Its obvious she hasnt a clue, and she doesnt deserve anymore attention or credence.Amen. Who, honestly, cares what vacuous comments or thoughts Meghan McCain spews! Her 15 minutes of fame, obtained on the back of her father, who himself largely obtained it on the back of Sarah Palin, is long over.

“Congressman Aaron Schock (R-IL) announced his opposition to the Employee Free Choice Act, which was introduced in Congress today.” this and his vote against porkulus are better than any dim in that seat.

From a conservative’s perspective he may very well have been the best available choice for the seat, but “conservative” he ain’t.

I don’t really put much stock in anything she has to say. Schock is pretty new on the statewide scene, so my ownand my own experience of him is limited to radio interviews and what I’ve read about his record in Springfield. One poster pointed out that his current ACU rating is 76. LaHood’s last one was 36. I’ll take the improvement. Another poster pointed out that his being from Illinois automatically raises suspicions. Fair enough. Whatever case might be made about his “ideological flexibility,” I still see him a vast improvement and a move in the right direction. We are so mired in a foul political swamp here that I’m not going to worry right now about his being some points shy of perfect according to the ACU.

You can thank all this to our “American Idol” culture. It is all about style over substance.
I just thank God that my wife and I are raising four boys who WILL NOT be distracted by pop culture or a golden surface. They will contemplate each and every decision with the values we are teaching them which is common sense and integrity.

Can anyone confirm the rumors concerning this guy’s sexual orientation? I’ve heard a lot. Let’s just hope that whatever he is he doesn’t become the next Larry Craig.

Meghan McCain only “joined” the Republican party as an insincere gift to her father when he was running for president. She now needs something to blame it on when she decides the party “left” her and so she'll forever have to vote dem from now on. She has no choice. She is young and immature and worries her friends in L.A. will diss her otherwise.

LaHood has a lifetime rating from the ACU of 72.46
