Why can’t the pope replace the president of Notre Dame with someone who will follow church doctrine? Or does he not want to for some reason?
Notre Dame is a sports team that gives away awards to pro-abortion Islamics.
About as much as the football team is Irish.
Is Notre Dame Still Catholic?
Good Question.
Is Nancy Pelosi still Catholic? John Kerry? Ted Kennedy?
If so... Why?
It isn't even about women, Barack Obama has shown he is the most baby killing president ever by his defense of killing babies OUTSIDE OF THE WOMB (he supported letting babies born alive dying after HOURS of non-care, they breathe on their own and that isn't enough for this monster).
The question isn’t why these politicians still claim to be Catholic, the question SHOULD be why haven’t they been excommunicated?
Why cant the pope replace the president of Notre Dame with someone who will follow church doctrine?

LOL at your question. It brought to my mind....
Why cant the OBAMAMESSIAH replace the president of GM with someone who will follow STATE doctrine? (Oh wait. He did.)
That would work for me.
To All Concerned For Notre Dame,
Since Father Dave Tyson is clearly the core of Notre Dame’s move to secularism, let all of us mail to: Father Tyson, Administration Building, Notre Dame, IN 46556, bags of Tyson Chicken, symbolizing Father Tyson’s being too scared (chicken) defend Catholic Morals and Our University. As you probably know, Father Tyson, is Provincial Superior of the CSCs and under Canon Law, Father Tyson can request Father Jenkin’s resignation from the office of President of Notre Dame. Father Tyson is trying to hide his unique moral responsibility with his deflecting statements that it is only the Notre Dame Trustees’ role to approve or disapprove the actions of the University’s President. That is being chicken! Father Tyson is also a Notre Dame Fellow, and can, with the other Fellows, remove the current Notre Dame Trustees and require a special election to replace them. Notre Dame’s move to secularism was hatched during Father Tyson’s years out in Oregon, while President of the University of Portland. It is in Oregon that Father Tyson lost his way.
Sincerely,
All Genuine & True ND Alumni
They should be ex-communicated for their votes in the Senate...IMO
Because the Pope doesn't own Notre Dame ...
Sorry, Charlie. He's not the all-powerful dictator that some folks imagine him to be.
following all institutions in this nation, why not Notre Dame is following the $$$’s. why else would catholic schools accept muslim or other conflicting beliefs of students into their student body
Why do the Catholics get blamed because their congregations aren’t 100% pro life, yet (we) Protestants aren’t held to the same standard?
Because the Catholic church is officially pro-life, and the Mainline Protestant Churches are officially pro-choice.
For example, the United Church of Christ and Presbyterian Church USA just to name a few are pro-choice...
Why cant the pope replace the president of Notre DameHm, that's interesting. I thought that it being a Catholic university meant that Notre Dame would have to follow the pope's orders.Because the Pope doesn't own Notre Dame ...
Sorry, Charlie. He's not the all-powerful dictator that some folks imagine him to be.
Nobody would have a problem with the University of Indiana giving Obama an honorary degree. It's only because Notre Dame is supposed to be a Catholic institution that there is a problem. What does being a Catholic college mean then, if the college is not under the authority of the Church?
Ok, I can accept that answer - it just seems to me the Catholic Church is being blamed for not having 100% of it’s membership on board (which of course would be wonderful!) yet pro-life Protestants aren’t being held to the same standard (and yes, I’m a pro life Protestant)
No matter what the roots of the schools were founded upon. William and Mary,Columbia,Yale, Notre Dame, etc, etc.
Why do the Catholics get blamed because their congregations arent 100% pro life, yet (we) Protestants arent held to the same standard?

She asked why we Protestants...nothing about Mainline Protestant churches. It was a good question.
