Korean voters turned out of office last year the "limp wristed" South Korean appeasers, and now in office sits a much more conservative government, due to popular distaste with appeasement of the North. Things changed while you might have not noticed. In fact, both Seoul and Tokyo these days are much more conservative, anti-communist and patriotic, than Washington D.C. is these days.
