Tea Party Movement

Building upon the success of the February 27th “Chicago Tea Party” Rallies, many of the organizers are now working to develop an even larger day of protests set to happen on April 15th, 2009.

These protests are known as the Tax Day Tea Party rallies.

Our goal with this website is to try and help pull a lot of the Tea Party event organization in to one easy to navigate and user friendly place on the web. We learned, after much feedback, that one of the biggest frustrations was the difficulty in finding information. Our hope is that this website will solve a lot of these problems.

The taxdayteaparty people have scrapped together a cheap two hour protest in an out-of-the-way park, while our tax revolt will be occupying the walkway to the San Jose IRS offices.

The worst thing is they know of our event, and are confusing people declaring our time and location has changed. It hasn't :

SAN JOSE ( BAY AREA ) TAX REVOLT TEA PARTY ON APRIL 15th AS PLANNED

WHERE : Downtown San Jose at the IRS offices, 55 S. Market Street - within a block of Saint Joseph’s Cathedral ( we will occupy the walkways on both sides of Market Street between Santa Clara Street and San Fernando Street )

WHEN : Twelve Noon - April 15th!!! ( 12:oo pm to 6:00 pm )

BRING : Signs; Flags; Horns; Handouts; Ballons; Drums; YOUR AMERICAN SPIRIT!!!

Making A Sign : http://www.wikihow.com/Make-Protest-Signs. Go to a Wal*Mart, or a local crafts store for your materials. You might want to follow the advice offered in the link provided here, and you should do quite well.

One thing further..... this event is organizing by word of mouth. If you do nothing else, SEND THIS like minded friends, neighbors and organizations with whom you may be associated.

The success of this event relies completely upon whatever energy we individually put into it.

Don't procrastinate; don't wait to act!

Call me if you feel you can assist in any way in organizing this event. My phone number isn't listed below just because its pretty.

Event Host : Robert Drobot, Chair
Santa Clara County Constitution Party

* Law enforcement officers must be treated with respect;
* Stay out of the street at all times, except when using a crosswalk with the traffic light;
* Do not block the sidewalk to pedestrian traffic, AND Keep your signs from hanging over into the street
* Do not block the signs of, nor get within 10 feet of, our opponents. Do not interfere with any media coverage of them. Our First Amendment rights are their rights, too. * Any arguments should be at 10 feet away to avoid conflict arising from passions on both sides. If you choose to get close to them physically, do so in friendship as fellow Americans only;
* Do not give the middle finger, call people jerks, tell them to get a green card, or get a job;
*Take the high road. Be civil.
