Me too!!! I hate unions and the way they poisen the workplace. My brother works for Boeing and unions have made it a place for “useless employees” and “a secure, fire free overpaid sanctuary”. He will tell you that without the defense contracts Boeing would be just like GMC.

There won’t BE any cars, after the government has run the company for a couple of years.

Obama is kowtowing to the UAW. Government intervention on behalf of the labor unions is what killed the British automobile industry. At a time when Great Britain was cranking out some of the brightest automotive engineers in the World, it’s automobile industry was driven into the ground by the government.

“I want every American to know that the path I’m laying out today is our best chance to make sure that the cars of the future are built where they’ve always been built

I won’t buy a car made in Detroit unless ofcourse Acorn takes a baseball bat to my knees. That could be coming next.

The Five Year Plan for the automobile industry should be forthcoming.

In other words--Southern (Red State) auto plants are gonna be SOL,

As fare as US autos - yes, but in the South there are BMW, Hyundai, Kia and Mercedes plants in South Carolina, Georgia, and Alabama.

I'll make it a point to take any of these over a GM Hussein-mobile.

Nixon essentially did this with wage and price controls.

The major manufacturers won’t build plants around major cities anymore because they can’t get a reliable workforce any more.

Wolverines!

I don't know to what you are referring here, but, every time I see this, I think "Michigan". I don't think that's what you mean, is it? Especially in this case?
