Country music did not spring from Black Music. It is mostly from Bluegrass and folk tunes brought over from the Old Country mixed with a little influence from black music.

I believe we’re both right. I do know what you mean about Bluegrass, but there were various ways that music progressed. It’s not so linear. It branches out in numerous directions. And an argument can be made that the gospel and blues led to rockabilly and country. It’s probably not exactly like that but the influence of black music is definitely a forebearer of country. Again, i know that Bluegrass contributed too. More from North to South.
