BEFORE it was one way with one level of frequency
NOW
AFTER, it is a much DIFFERENT, HIGHER RATE OF FREQUENCY.
About DOUBLE a year ago nation wide/world wide.

I’ll buy that explanation. There’s no objective evidence of any increase in this sort of activity. We just hear about it more often. News 24/7. The Internet. News people trying to make a name for themselves and their stations/newspapers. Eyewitnesses getting their mugs on TV. The more sensational the better.
Then there is the Rapture Ready® crowd trying to convince folks this all has eschatological significance.

But then wouldn't we have been hearing more reports like this for the last, say, 5-6 years as well?
Most of us may have been on dial up back then, but we still would have mentioned it on FR. IMHO.
