well,I have heard the thunder,or sonic boom,it is more wide spread, just google - mysterious thunder/sonic boom. I think it was micro-fragments earlier, but now ,bigger, seeable fragments of a comet or asteroid.Supposedly,by some nostradamus studying guy,the july eclipse shows some other body ,headed our way,so we could be hitting fragments in it’s orbital path.just a theory ,not really concerned about it,I just like to study on a lot of things

Then she saw something that looked like a comet moving low toward the ground; it was blue in front followed by orange and appeared to be the shape and size of a refrigerator.

Clueless eye witnesses.

More fodder for the Rapture Ready® crowd.

Were they meteors? A comet? UFOs?

Maybe it was an SUV?

People who haven't passed general science shouldn't be trying to explain anything to anybody.

That, or with the proliferation of the Internet as well as the 24 hour news cycle, we are just hearing about it more. It may be the pattern hasn't changed in the events, only in the reporting.

I’ll buy that explanation. There’s no objective evidence of any increase in this sort of activity. We just hear about it more often. News 24/7. The Internet. News people trying to make a name for themselves and their stations/newspapers. Eyewitnesses getting their mugs on TV. The more sensational the better.

Then there is the Rapture Ready® crowd trying to convince folks this all has eschatological significance.

“I saw Bigfoot once. 1951 back in Sequoia National Park. Had a foot on him thirty-seven inches heel to toe. It made a sound I would not want to hear twice in my life.”

Depends on your meaning. I’m prepared for Christ’s Second Coming, which will be as a thief in the night at a time least expected.

The signs and wonders crowd that eats this stuff up does not impress me.

I’m sure it has nothing to do with the 1000’s of earth orbit crossing asteroids, or the 100’s of pieces of newly-created space junk resulting from the US-Russian satellite collision.

Or simply people are more willing to believe that everyday events are supernatural. I recall when I was a kid in the 70s and early 80s, I heard sonic booms all the time.. These days, I wonder how many people remember what a sonic boom sounds like.

Dec 30th 2008-Fireball streaks across night sky over California
SONIC BOOMS OF UNKNOWN ORIGIN-
Sonic boom remains a mystery. ... Santa Cruz County-March 6th, 2009

A major fireball on 17 January at 19:08 UTC was seen widely over Northern Central Europe, with reports from Sweden, the Netherland, Germany and Poland so far - and as with the Canadian fireball last year, there is at least one detailled video available

Fireball over Austin, Texas - February 15, 2009

MYSTERIOUS RUMBLINGS PLAGUING EASTERN OKLAHOMA WERE HEARD AND FELT AGAIN TODAY... BUT HAS EVEN EXPANDED TO OTHER COUNTIES IN THE RIVER VALLEY. POLICE AND SHERIFF’S DEPARTMENTS ... STRETCHING FROM EASTERN OKLAHOMA TO CRAWFORD COUNTY ... WERE ONCE AGAIN FLOODED WITH CALLS FROM RESIDENTS LOOKING FOR ANSWERS

There is so much of this going on it is hard to keep up, and the MSM does not report on it at all...

BOOMS, RUMBLINGS AND FIREBALLS HAVE INCREASED IN A ALARMING RATE IN THE LAST 2 YRS..IMO by what is reported.

Aiken, Richmond and Columbia counties.

Local law enforcement agencies also report hearing the boom, but no one knows what caused it.

Chris Turner, and Aiken County resident, told WJBF News Channel 6’s Sheena Bodie what he saw and heard, in a phone interview. We have also been informed that two Aiken County Sheriff’s Office deputies reportedly saw a fireball in the sky.

An Aiken County resident describes to WJBF that he saw a fireball in the sky, after a loud boom was heard all over the CSRA around 3:00 a.m., Friday morning. Dr. Gary Senn, the director of the DuPont Planetarium at USC-Aiken stopped by our noon Newscast and spoke with our Mary Morrison about the possible causes. You can also let us know what you heard or saw.

According to the Director of the DuPont Planetarium at USC-Aiken, Gary Senn, the cause of the boom could have possibly been a meteor. Stay tuned to WJBF Newschannel 6 and WJBF.com for more on this developing story.

Let us know below by leaving a comment to let us know what you saw or heard. You can also report meteor/fireball sightings to the American Meteor Society’s website

Mystery Roar Detected From Faraway Space
LONG BEACH, Calif. — Space is typically thought of as a very quiet place. But one team of astronomers has found a strange cosmic noise that booms six times louder than expected.

The roar is from the distant cosmos. Nobody knows what causes it.

Revelation 5:1-5

1) “And I saw in the right hand of him that sat on the throne a book written within and on the backside, sealed with seven seals.”
2) “And I saw a strong angel proclaiming with a loud voice, Who is worthy to open the book, and to loose the seals thereof?”
3) “And no man in heaven, nor in earth, neither under the earth, was able to open the book, neither to look thereon.”
4) And I wept much, because no man was found worthy to open and to read the book, neither to look thereon.”
5) And one of the elders saith unto me, Weep not: behold, the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, hath prevailed to open the book, and to loose the seven seals thereof.”

It could be TC...

Even though the number of online news outlets are increasing exponentially, there is little difference in results over the past several years for the term ‘fireball’.. now, of course, not all of these are ‘ufo’ type fireballs, however, this is just a statement on perception.

FREEPERS LIVE IN SOME OF THE AREAS.

I live and Maryland and witnessed this first hand!

It was sunny and quite warm here yesterday and I had several windows open. Late in the afternoon as I was watching a Monster Quest marathon on the Discovery Channel, I heard a very loud boom. As I looked out the sliding glass door to the NE I could see the sun was still shining.

Soon I heard an even louder boom then another and another and soon the sky darkened quickly in a rather eerie fashion. It must have really freaked out my neighbors who were sitting on their deck because they went inside and I haven’t seen them since. (I hope they weren’t abducted!)

The force of the explosion or whatever it was must have been pretty strong because right after the booms, I observed the trees swaying back and forth from the concussion in such a way that if I didn’t know any better, I would have thought it was wind.

Then debris and some sort of chemical started falling from the sky - pea sized white pellets of some sort of unknown unearthly property that were able to make themselves disappear shortly after hitting the ground and the chemical, I’m pretty sure was dihydrogen monoxide, so I held my breath until I blacked out but not before seeing several bright flashes.

When I came to I turned on a local TV channel to see a severe thunderstorm warning bulletin.

Sure! Riiight! The media, working in conjunction with the National Weather Service (a government agency) to cover up the Truth yet again.

You are wrong....

The Mystrey Roars have come from deep within space, that has not been identified....

The point is that many people have been a witness to these fireballs, no I do not think they are UFO’s, I believe what the HOLY BIBLE has to say about these things, especially in the Book of Revelations...Of course scoffers will come, we already know that from the Bible.
