Be careful how you handle that stuff...there’s no OSHA or FDA over there. That stuff could have all kinds of lead and other toxins in it.

We didn't get any more on us that we could help. The rifles were initially degreased using boiling water...the gun metal that is. I tossed the small parts into the same bucket we poured the boiling water into as it passed over the barrel/receiver assembly. I also tossed the gas tube and cover (wooden) in the same bucket and this wooden gas port cover is the ONLY piece of wood on the rifle that doesn't still weep grease. I'm tempted to use boiling water on the stock as well, but with my luck I'd have to hammer the rifle back into the stock after it was done. :-)
If I were going to be poisoned by this grease, I certainly wouldn't be alone. Thousands of these things were sold in the early 90s through now, and most of them come coated in the same grease. It "could" have something in it I suppose, but like I said, we removed most of it initially with boiling water... but for the stock which weeps the stuff when it gets hot. :-)
